Starting to learn how to play a guitar can be frustrating at first, but the rewards are worth the time, effort and dedicate you put towards it. One of the quickest way to learn guitar is to hire a teacher. A good guitar teacher will help you adopt correct techniques and form to speed up the learning time and help reduce the risk of tissue, muscle and ligament damage in your hands.
Guitar lessons are one to one and are tailored to the individual's needs. Tuition covers all aspects of playing including rhythm, lead and improvisation in both fingerstyle and pick playing techniques. I offer tuition for complete beginners to advanced players and across all ages in either Classical guitar, Electric guitar and Acoustic guitar. Music reading and theory are taught and, for those who wish to take gradings, exam grades from Preliminary to Grade 8 are available with either Trinity College or RGT.
My teaching studio is based in Cheslyn Hay, South Staffordshire. The studio is equipped with amplification and there is also a range of backing tracks to aid the pupil in improvisation.
I offer a 20 minute lesson, 30 minute lesson and 60 minute lesson depending on the age and/or needs of the individual. These can be booked separately or in blocks of four. These can be booked on a weekly or fortnightly basis or whatever suits your needs. For younger pupils, parents/carers are welcome to sit in during the lesson.
